Mixed in place
Mixed in place
'Mixed in place' is a technique developed to improve stability in dikes, enabling elevations. By mixing a dry binder (concrete / chalk) with the moist core of the levee, the friction properties in the levee and upper subsoil increase and the levee on weak soils becomes stable and meets safety conditions. This technique has been used before in the construction of roads on weak soils.
