The Dutch have developed several systems to gather data on their dikes on a continuous basis. One of these systems is SUCCES, which combines expert knowledge in the areas of water, flood defense systems and effects of flooding into one system. The system determines safety level and effects of flooding based on measurements, observations and calculations. It gives insight in the actual situation of water loads, water defense systems and inundation risks.
