Coastal monitoring: Argus video

Coastal monitoring, Argus video technique

The Argus video technique involves the installation of unmanned, automated video stations for the monitoring of coastal processes in the nearshore zone. Each Argus monitoring system typically comprises five video cameras, spanning a 180 degrees field of view. The snap shots, time exposure and variance images are collected and sent to the central data archive by phone line.
